JoDDa is a Joomla dating/social networking component. It is your tool to build a dating or social site.

JoDDa builds in the Joomla core of your site thus providing the ability to unite users’ lists and expand your site with any other user-oriented extensions (forums, additional blogs, etc.).

The component is easily customizable, starting from the look and fields of your registration form and up to selecting the place where parts of functionality will be available from.

It has the following concept and structure:

Forms

There are four forms provided in Joomla. Form is an interactive functionality, a way of communication between your users and site. The forms are:

• Registration Form – you can change this form the way you need it.
• Profile Form – this form builds users’ profiles. All pages of this form will be available simultaneously, thus forming the multi-tabs profile. Fields from registration form will be inherited here, so that you can pull the data submitted during the registration to be displayed in profile.
• Advanced Search Form – you can customize the advanced search. Fields from Registration form and Profile form are inherited.
• Login Form

Bricks

This is a separate part of functionality that can be added to any place of your site.

E.g. there is a mail brick that can be added to Profile form or any other place of the site. Mail brick is the inner mail system, where users can communicate with other users, manage the folders, etc.

Each brick can be set according to your needs via admin area. Some bricks can be cloned.

Settings

General behavior and policy regarding the component can be selected here – starting from the updating options and select admins who have access to JoDDa and up to word censors and minimal age of users who access the functionality.
